by So it's been a while since I even THOUGHT about Chaotic; I've mostly moved away from the game the past few years, and sometimes it's tough to be attached to something that has been inactive for several years. In any case, I still have all my cards and a few weeks ago I got looking at them; overcome with nostalgia like I do sometimes, I thought. "What the hell, I'll buy some of the cards for old time's sake."
So I put some money aside and I start looking around on eBay, and I find a pretty good deal on a buttload of cards. Prior to all this I did a little research: I really like Mipedians, and two of the cards I really wanted were Iflar the Crown Prince and Prince Mudeenu Champion of the Guard. From what I gathered they were released in the Turn of the Tides wave, and with that knowledge I decided to get a ton of booster packs from that wave.
Well today the cards came in; I've been really excited, because I've gotten a bunch of them and I figure I have a pretty good chance of getting ONE of the rare cards I want, maybe even Iflar. I start opening them up and one of the first cards in the first pack is van Bloot's Sickle, which gave me a really good feeling. After that I got a multitude of rare creatures from several tribes (I got 3 Aivienna cards!!!), and a total of 5 Ultra Rare cards. Unfortunately, I did not get a single rare Mipedian card. I didn't even get Maliph; instead I got 2 to 3 of several creatures and locations. It was hard to feel excited for the cool stuff I got when I didn't get what I was really hoping for.
*sight*, I guess better luck next time. Still got some cool cards. What have been some of y'all's bittersweet moments in card collecting?
