    so Magic the gathering is a pretty popular tcg that has a mode of play called limited. unlike constructed which is the traditional way where you build a deck of all the cards in a certain group (in chaotic we use the whole game), limited lets you only build a deck with a certian pool of cards. the usual way to do this is to open a certain number of booster packs and build a deck from what's inside. This of course can be applied to chaotic however I found the packs to be poorly optimized, packs are a bit too creature heavy while not having enough attack cards since you need about 3x as many attacks to creatures its not ideal.
    luckly in magic there's something called a "cube" this is where you build your own selection of cards to randomly get from, usually cubes don't care about things like rarity so you can have the best possible selection and balance without the limitations packs have. so with that idea in mind I set doing a rough approximation of a chaotic cube, due to the lack of cards in general cube costimzation is a bit limited, the creatures are where you get the most flexibility but for other card types its more choosing what you DON'T want rather than what you do. but there was still plenty to make the cube I wanted.

    before I give you the list of course I want to talk about how actually you play the cube, if you've ever played mtg limited you'll find it very familer, if not don't worry its not too crazy

    there are mainly 2 way to play the cube, the first is simpler and for 2-4 players you shuffle up the cube and each player receives 108 random cards (equivalent of 12 chaotic packs) then each player builds a 6v6 deck from the cards provided following unique and rule of 2 are not in effect(attacks are a slight expetion, see below) but it won't come up that often anyway. loyal is in effect its only on cheiftans in this set and there are plenty of minions, you may decide to change this rule if your cube has more loyal cards, the 20bp rule is of course in effect. do to the limited number of attacks the cube only includes rare through ultra attack within it. however any player can use up to 2 of any number common or uncommon attack card, so you can build an ok 20 card attack deck no matter what other cards you end up with. if a player does not have at least 6 creatures, mugic or battlegear that player simply must play without however many they are missing (this is more relevant in draft) if a player does not have at least 10 locations I recommend using a filler location to fill the extra slots, a location not in the cube that doesn't do much, some noteable ones are the heat cannon, carnival of confusion throne, mipedain lounge, catacombs of the conjurer and gothos tower, otherwise you can make your own filler location that for example has no effects and a random initiative, or even negative effects for its user, your choice. after each player builds there deck fight it out in whatever way you see fit.

    the other way to play is draft, this format uses less cards per player but needs a few players to work so this is for 4-8 players. each player is given 3 18 card piles (each pile equals 2 chaotic packs for a total of 6) the players sit in a circle, each player then picks up there first pile. they choose the card they most want from that pile and set it aside, they then pass the pile to there left. once they receive a new pile they then pick the card they most want from that pile then pass it. this continues until the last card in all the first piles have been taken. at which point each player picks up there pile 2 as repeats the process, picking the card they want in there pile, this time passing to the RIGHT. when all the pile 2's are empty each player begins with there pile 3 again passing to the LEFT. when all is said and done each player will have selected 44 cards. then each player build a 6v6 deck using the same deckbuilding rules from sealed (above). this format is often more popular in Mtg since it takes more skill in picking the proper cards and lets you try to draft the deck you want to build while sealed is a bit more luck based depending on what you open but it still requires proper deckbuilding.
