Crellan, no question. Hotekk went down with, admittetly superpowered, but basic Creatures from Tom, the only real challenge in his deck was facing them all at once with his. Creature I forget the name of.
Even if were were to take the dromes out of the equation, I think it says a lot on how-not amazing he is. Good? Sure! But not strong enough to beat Crellan, who actually has a strategy and can literally sweep an entire team with one creature.

Sounds pretty legit to me.
From what we saw from the match on the show, he didn't have much strategy compared to Codemaster Crellan. He had only fighters and moreover, compared to Codemaster Crellan who controls well his thoughts, feelings and his ability to stay calm to keep his ability not to be fooled by them. Codemaster Hotekk wasn't able to control himself.

It's worth noting that Hotekk wasn't putting in 100% effort into his match though. He used a Mugic for no other reason other than to give Tom a hint, he wasn't going full tryhard mode.

Crellen. The show isnt to great at keeping true to the cards abilitys though. Hottek would of lost the second Ogg got coded because he didnt have anymore legal creatures. The stack wouldnt matter. (Nunk'worn,Kannen, ulmar's Projection, mommarks lab etc.) If any of these ways of losing a creature to bring back a creature were to happen when you have nothing else on the field you already lost. Not to mention having 5 creatures against 1 is stupid. (See:Borth majar and kaz)
And finnaly Ixxik. All of his other creatures besides ixxik would of instantly been coded because of his effect. (-10 all)
It does seem that the codemaster were gonna share a little patter of creature revival. While it is strong it always has holes in it. Namely go after ogg and the squirl guy first.
I really dont see whats stopping someone from just having 6 of the squirl guys. Tartarecker had 6 of tartareck. Clay had 10 of 1 location. The show really really didnt care for the rules.

I thought they were playing in Beta Dromes for Clay's 10 Lava Pond and 6 Tartareks so they can do whatever they want with the rulings ?
Anyway, for the card rulings, I think it's legit that they change a little since they're no longuer playing a classic card game. Even if somethimes it changes a lot or sometimes weird like Song of Revival (The underworld Mugic) being able to revive non-Underworld creatures ...
