"Four Player free for all"
There are currently 3 ways to play 4 person multiplayer chaotic. Click the spoilers bellow to find out which suits your playgroup best.
A 1 combat per turn 2 vs 2 Format with heavy focus on teamwork.
- Borth-Majar Bout:
Deck building.
The game has 2 teams both having 2 players.
Each players deck will follow the typical 3v3 masters formatting with minor changes .
3 creatures
with 3 battlegear
3 mugic
However it will be 5 Locations
10 attacks with 10 build points
The Biggest change!
If your Teammate has a loyal creature you can still use creatures of different tribes (or tribeless) However if you have a loyal creature you must still use all creature's of that tribe.
ALL CARDS! are treated as if they have the deck restriction "Unique" AND your teammate may not have the same creature as you do.
(Meaning if you have a [[Maxxor]] your teammate can't have one too(any version)
(These rules are to increase variety and to not take away completely from the Loyal restriction, the format is 3v3 masters based to help keep games relatively short, changes can be made based on playgroup preference)
Set up (how games will look starting out)
Team A, Player 1 Team B, Player 1

Team B, Player 2 Team A, Player 2

For example- Starting a match:
- Setup:
How the game works
This format will be played on Untap where the site automatically chooses who goes first however if choosing offline just roll a D20 or 2 D6 to decide. If you are chosen by the site you get to pick if you want your teammate or one of your opponents to go first. (do this before anyone draws attack cards)
BIG RULE CHANGE!
1. Each player has ,"At the beginning of the FIRST combat of a game, if you are attacked by an opponent, you may Draw an attack card ,if you do discard an attack card"
So think of it as a free [[Blaze Barrage]] effect except it's only during the first combat and you can choose not to do it (because it's a may effect )
(This rule is to offset the overwhelming downside of going second, again playgroup can change this rule)
2. You may choose to reveal your Teammate's Location instead of your own on your turn. However Your teammate can overrule you and force you to reveal your own instead.
(This rule is to help your Teammate feel more engaged)
3. Card abilities that reference "You control". such as Support,Defender or count tribes like
[[Kepiaan, Danian Lieutenant]] count your teammates as well.
However you may not Sacrifice your teammate's creatures and you do not control them. As such since you do not actually control these creatures cards that reference the player like [[Foothold Assault Trench]] or [[Lava Pond, Milla'iin's Foothold]] effect both player's separately this can have downside like [[Rao'Pa Sahkk, Ihun'kalin's Foothold]] and [[Eye of the Maelstrom]]
(think of this as an errata for all cards changing them from "You control" to "Your TEAM controls" that only effects this format. )
4. If you control the active Location and you tie for initiative. The defending player goes first.
(This is actually a big change and it's also to help offset it being your opponents location)
Attacking
1. The player who goes first can choose either of the opponents creatures to attack if they can legally move into their space.
Example- Team B player 2 attacks Team A Player 2:
- How to talk to your Teammate and show them your hand:
1.. The player who goes first gets to choose which of his opponents creatures he wants to start a combat with. The same movement restrictions still apply. (so no range and swift x? You can only attack adjacent opposing creatures)
2. Your teammate and opponent may help interact by using Abilities and Mugic when they gain priority which will go in clockwise order. This will also be the turn order in which players attack
(hence why player placement is so crucial to the set up of the game)
3. Your Teammate's creatures may NOT be on the same space as your creatures so cards such as [[Mipedim mirage]] don't effect you if your teammates creature is on it.
4. All players are effected by the current Location for example : [[dranakis threshold]] will stop all players from playing mugic or activated abilities and [[iron pillar]] will cause all battlegear to lose abilities etc.
5. All of a teams creatures have to be destroyed (coded) to win the game.
exception : [[Glacier Plains, M'arrillian Heat Cannon]]
A up to 2 simultaneous combats per turn 2 vs 2 Format with shared priority.
- Ragetrod Rumble:
Quick summary of the difference between Borth-Majar Bout and Ragetrod Rumble
(Besides the names)
1. Teammates take their turns and hold priority at the same time. They both Draw attacks and Declare combat at the same time as well. However They cannot attack the same players creatures.
(For further clarification both players cant attack the same opponent's creature or creatures)
2. The Errata of creatures with abilities such as Support and defender changing from "You control" to "Your team controls" Does NOT APPLY in Ragetrod rumble.
3. The rule of If you are attacked the first combat of the game "You may draw an attack ,if you do discard an attack" still applies just both attacked players will get the opportunity to draw and discard if they wish.
4. Teams decide who flips their location at the start of the turn. If neither player can agree just flip a coin or roll a dice to decide.
Here's the Rumble rules explained more however.

3. Teams decide which location is flipped up at the start of the turn. If a Team can't decide just roll a dice or flip a coin to decide.
Attacking/Priority
1. Teammates hold priority at the same time. Teams decide the order in which they play Mugic/Abilities.
2. Teams will attack at the same time (this will normally cause 2 combats to happen simultaneously) Players can not attack the same creature or creatures shared by the same player.
3. Drawing your attack for each draw step and playing attacks are done at the same time.(This will still cause 2 separate burst's , damage is dealt at the same time however.) This will only be relevant when 2 combats are happening at once.- How to talk to your Teammate and show them your hand:
1. Your Teammate's creatures may NOT be on the same space as your creatures so cards such as [[Mipedim mirage]] don't effect you if your teammates creature is on it.
