Phelphor in the Show? Empty Phelphor in the Show?

Is he a fluidmorpher or a cheiften? I know what his card is, but how many cards are really accurate to the show?

Because I dislike thinking that non-cheiftens can brainwash...

I do believe he was an Underworlder before he was a Mril, I believe it was a truth. With his 'change', he is more likely to become a fluidmorpher, but I understand your thing about chieftans. With a card like Thar'lyn though, he wouldn't have to be a fluidmorpher or a chieftan.

What do you mean by "truth"?
And I think he was a Fluidmorpher. He's also Ancient, so he could just have distinct powers that others have specialized over time. Perhaps all M'arrillians could brainwash others if it were completely unexpected, but with their presence known, a resistance was built up and only specialized M'arrillians promoted to Chieftain are capable of doing so post revelelation.

Terabyte, your theory means that his brainwashing wouldn't be effective... Since he would still be the old "non-resisted" ability.

And I doubt that an underworlder could turn into a M'arrillian. He does have a M'arrillian form. No one else is hinted at actually transforming from one tribe into M'arrillian.

That's what I meant by truth.. I meant that the story he told on the show was true. Phelphor may be the only one to have changed tribes, so far..

Changing tribes != changing forms. Look at Larina? Danian enough?

You guys serious lol? Changing Tribes is easy. It's all about where you pledge your allegiance to. Stelgar is one of the better examples of this being as he was made by mommark and was technically an overworlder untill rothar showed him kindness and accepted him as underworlder. This happened with a few of mommarks experiments I believe and all the infected, the infected may have turned into bugs but they only changed Tribe because the parasites brainwashed them into the Hive Mind and that's why brainwashed creatures are allowed in Marril decks it's because their new allegiance is with them but they are still undercover as their original tribe. It was obvious after Phelphor changed into his "of the deep" form that he was a through and through Maril. As of him having brainwash powers well he was in the Ice a long time...what was he doing at Frozen Pillar in the first place? he was probably chosen specifically to infiltrait the underworlders witch he did do flawlessly after all. Others of his kind might not of been able to look or play the part and he might of had training at the Azaia Mind Scrying chamber...like how thar'lyn might of had being as he is an azaian spy :o

What I was saying is that after Phelphor revealed the Brainwash powers, it would take stronger minds as everyone was aware of it. Not that the original skirmish provided the knowledge.

Marrilleans come from the Deep. Phelphor was in ice.

Was frost used to purge the Marrilleans to the deep?

You got what we're talking about wrong. We're talking about like transforming (which yea, the Danians do with infection) but I'm pretty sure is not possible with M'arrillians because they would have done it to van Bloot at least.
So I'm still not convinced that Phelphor actually transformed, but instead probably had his previous body as a disguise? Maybe even a projection.

And Blvz where did you get that idea from?

But Phelphor was probably transformed a long time ago.. I don't think the same thing would apply in current Perim.

That's strange to think that he wouldn't be able to change and it's just a disguise because later on in the show he is seen leading a small army off to battle against an Alliance attack ,looking like his "underworld form" not his "Of the deep marrillian form" Unsure

The way I see it, Phelphor was a deep cover agent. A whole lot of resources were put into him to make sure he'd be able to free the rest of his tribe when he was eventually rediscovered, hence why he seems to be more powerful than the average fluidmorpher. As for his disguise, it was probably just to seem less dangerous, not like he was specifically trying to look like an Underworlder. If the Overworlders found him first, he might have claimed to have defected to the Overworld instead of the Underworld.
