Dusted off my cards

 



I just moved for the 5th time in 2 years and my Chaotic collection has been stored in various boxes throughout that span.  This week I looked through my collection for first time in a long while and boy I miss the old days. 

Anyways, do people still play somehow? I would like a game sometime.  Also I have many duplicates if anyone is interested in trading.  And as a afterthought, how much would the entire collection be worth? And by entire I mean all, rule of 2, every single card that the game released including promos, and unreleased as well.

Also, I doubt that you're going to get too much for your collection. I've passed up some deals I would have gotten instantly a year ago.

I think he wants to know the exact value of his collection. But as with everything - it comes down to who. If you wanted to sell such a thing to me... You could take a thousand or 2 out of my bank account, sell it to your Thrift Shop, get maybe a hundred or so... bucks xD.

The TradeCardsOnline battle drome if you could call it that - is not as convenient as the Former TCDigital Dromes. But you can definately still play on it. No scanned values though... for disciplines. I also suggest pre-arranging a match.

Yeah, I was gonna say 1000$ for a full collection, but it is so variable. I think the seller should ask what he wants, and see if the buyer would take it. As malcolm points out though, definitely sell it to a player if you're going to sell it.

You severely overpriced the value of chaotic cards Blzv. I mean if you want to do that...

10 million dollars is what I estimate the years of blood,sweat and tears put into it  .

I am not looking to sell it anyways, but my wife would beg to differ >.<

I was thinking more of if anyone does skype battles or anything of that nature...any news of anyplace in the USA-Canada that still gathers to play? I know at one time there was word of people between Chicago and St. Louis, but I fell out of the loop?

Good choice not selling  You have been an inspiration to me. I don't know of any official places that meet. Anti, Blzv, and I get together if we can. Mostly Anti and I. I know that there was a skype group. It hasn't been really active. But people would have skype battles (done some myself).

Skype battles are interesting. Never actually done one personally but should be pretty fun. I have some friends that still do Chaotic down in Australia...

Boring? How so? You get to crack some taunts at your opposition when battling.

Ok, let me rephrase. Skype battles are ANTICLIMACTIC.

It's a bit painful to think what our collections are worth after putting so much money into them when the game was doing better. Especially when I think about how at one time we could make a profit.

I know, Blits. I gave my brother's friend a bunch of cards I had bought. I still have a few cases of unopened boxes so I figured I'd share and let him distribute among his group of friends to try and find a bit of enjoyment out of them. I gave him 4 MI Starter Decks and 4 boxes of each ZotH, SS, and MI that I had. I thought it'd give him and his friends a good resource pool to play with some variety. Anyway, after adding it all up, I realized I had just handed (What used to be) about $650 worth of cards.

I also remember Super Rare Creatures going for about $20 during ZotH and later. You could get a Super Creature in every 6 packs and in hobby shops that cost you about $20. An easy break even plus the other cards you netted. And even after all that, you could still wind up with an Ultra worth $10 if it was a useless Mugic, but surpassing $100 for a good Creature. Crazy how such a new game became a source of income for many.
