SlashClaw (SS)

Hmm... I just need some clarification on this (I've never used this card so double checking the ruling)

Slashclaw states, "If your engaged Creature has Recklessness, deal damage equal to twice its Recklessness value"

Now if say we had a Blazvatan with Reckless 25 and Conjurors such as say Ranun

Ranun states "Reduce Recklessness damage dealt to Warbeasts you control by 10"

This technically isn't reducing the recklessness... only the damage dealt from the Recklessness itself. Thus does the Slashclaw do 50 damage or less.

Slash Claw would deal 55 damage in that case(5 base damage).

Slash Claw and abilities like it will be based off of the Recklessness before Recklessness reduction. So... if you have Blazvatan, and cast Enre-hep's ability on him to give him 30 Recklessness, then Slash claw would deal 65 damage.

There are some pretty cool combos like Carnivores Keening and such, but Warbeasts are a bit weak in masters.

Now if you had something that reduced the recklessness itself then this wouldn't apply. The keyword on the conjurer is "reduce damage"

Yes, but I don't remember a card that does that.

Savel x2 with rivita flowers. ,ailav,bodals dagger khorror, the one mugic with gain 30 e and reckless 10. 2 harnessed and a slash. Headmaster with a dagger as a backup.

Ya... Carnivore's Keening. Although its much easier just to put counters on a Lobanne and get however much Elemental Proof you want. The warbeast you mention is Uboraan.

Energy does nothing in this game past 65/85, its about consistent damage and reaction-based strategies.

Never have more than one Ixxik.. it decreases the other Ixxik's energy lol. I would go in depth on Warbeast strategy, but that sounds like a new topic to me.
