    Water Danians

Post by TastyCakes008 on Mon Sep 01, 2014 4:23 pm

I've been out of this game for years now, and I wanted to get back into. Only problem is I forgot most of the cards, but I remember loving Tassanil and Water Element Danians.

Could you guys help me with a deck based on them? Especially with attacks :o

TCO has all the cards so that's a least a good way to look up stuff.

I was thinking something like this

    Tassanil - Brain Amplifier
    Khavakk - Aqua Familiar
    Khritlaan - Azaia Mind Probe
    Dasalin - Danian Carapace
    ????
    ????

And I have an idea for locations, but Battle Gear and Attacks are where I'm lacking. I'm thinking of dealing damage through mugic counters with Khavakk or Dhilas, but I havent found much else I think would work?

Here's a list of fighting Danians with innate water that in my opinion have better potential to be most useful (I'm excluding support, and opinions vary). You can also give Danians who don't innately have the element either an Orchis Undin or Kha'rall Shard of the Staunch. Minions can instead be given a Kha'rall Freshwater Shard, and elementalists the Elementalist's Pauldrons.

    Fliandar (requires infection build)
    Hermatred
    Hiadrom
    Irrabeq
    Ivelaan
    Katharaz (courage buff recommended)
Klencka, Avenger (requires General's Standard in non-mixed builds)
    Neekwin (best with sacrificial gear)
    Nimmei
    Uholdan
    Ulmquad

If you plan on using Hive abilities frequently, I might also recommend taking Elna. As long as he can remain in your discard, his innate compost ability will effectively give you infinite Hive and cannot be stop by cards that block activated abilities (e.g Dranakis Threshold).

I was going to recommend Irrabeq or Drazz. I think a good amount of people forget about Drazz.

Im thinking this could be a good start

    Ivelaan Khritlaan Elna
    Neekwin Nimmei
    Dhilas

Have the guys in front take out a creature or two before they are destroyed and then have Neekwin and Nimmei cleanup. Once Elna is gone I have Dhilas' ability, which I was thinking of using with several damage dealing Mugix to help me out of tight spots.

Mindproof March has to be one of my favorite cards for that, and if I have a way of giving Elna Water I could deal 30-35 damage with it and heal for 30. But I can't seem to think of some good damage dealing mugix

There's a physical card. I have two copies from Beyond the Doors boosters and one from the M'arrillian Invasion Damian starter. And yes, he is a beast for his rarity.

Nope. He was an uncommon from Mrill Invasion.

And as Afjak mentioned, Irrabeq is one of the hardest hitting danians and yet very easy to get. Very underused card.

    123
    45
    6

    1. Ivelaan - Aspect Amplifier Wit/Torrent Krinth (Have no idea what would be good on him)
    2. Khritlaan - Double Edge (Make him as suicidal as possible
    3. Elna - Destructozooka/Orchis Undin (Give him water attacks)
    4. Neekwin - Hive Amber/Orb of Unda
    5. Nimmei - Citadel Fragments
    6. Dhilas - Riverland Moon

Im also kinda feeling Ulmquad somewhere in here, with all those mugic counters I could just spam his ability

    Mindproof March
    Caster's Warsong
    Unbalancing Battlesong
    Katharaz's Cacophony
    Domestic Hive Hymn
    Unbalancing Battlesong

    Elmantiir
    Foothold Assault Trench
    Kaizeph, CoE
    MP Reservoir
    Najarin's Castle
    Raopasahkk, Condensation Ceremony
    Riverlands
    Skeletal Springs
    Overworld Library
    The Storm Tunnel, Flooding

    2x  Caustic Cascade
    2x Essential Evaporation
    2x Flood Force
    2x Glacial Balls
    2x Hydro Balls
    1x Ice Sheet
    2x Inner Flood
    2x Liquescent Swirl
    2x Mindrazor
    2x Mugician Steal
    1x Rainspears

Pretty simple, first row is mulch it'll either do some damage, or die, and that means Neekwin and Nimmei can be real powerhouses. Throw his Hive Ability, Citadel Fragments and Ivelaan on that (15 for Hive, 15 for Fragments, 25 for Ivelaan) I feel like he can reach 100 Wisdom to use Glacial Balls or Mindrazor easily, but unfortunately I have no idea what his stats are. But a cool little trick I think would be to use Dhilas as a healer, and once Elna's gone throw out all manner of offensive mugic to demolish tanky threats. Mindproof march could do 30 damage, heal 25, the two Unbalancing do 20 damage, heal 15. And Caster's is just in case I ever need a quick damage dealer.

I was also thinking of using Ulmquad, with enough mugic counters he could be as good as Dhilas, and count as a Mandiblor to boost up Nimmei

Unfortunately Unbalancing Battlesong makes the creature lose energy, it does not deal damage.

Though Dhilas is a cool card, Ulmquad might just to the job better.

Damn, Then I may have to add another Mindproof March

So take out an Unbalancing Battlesong and Replace it with a Mindproof March and Katharaz Cacaophony
