It doesn't seem that long ago that I was writing this topic for my 1000th post on the old site. That post was a little more interesting than this one: it was done on the night of the 5th anniversary, and it was my only topic ever to have Blargers comment on it.
This topic, while it may be ranty and familiar, is neither done on a special night or with special guests. No this time, you're going to find out about me.
About 6 or 7 years ago I had been watching TV, saw that there was go to be a new show airing. The ad displayed some kid in his boxers suddenly arriving in a kids dream cafeteria. I was excited I was going to be able to watch a show first come on television! That Saturday I sat down while my mom was at work, 9:30 in the morning I believe, and sure enough I watched Tom arrive to Perim in his boxers. The show was a hit!
Unfortunately I missed quite a few episodes from there on, in fact: all of the episodes for a few weeks. Finally I got the chance to watch it again, and you know what episode that was? You guessed it, the Warbeast one! Between the Blazvatan in the show, and the one on the card in the commercial for the Tins, I was ready to go get me one!

Little did I know my friend was already a collector, I was able to sneak a few Vidavs off of him, and even a couple of his Dawn of Perim: Secrets cards that I hadn't had the chance to collect. I wanted to expand my collection, so I bought a Marrillian Invasion starter deck or two and pulled two Tangath Toborn in Trainings! After that I pulled my first Warbeast from a Gnarlus Booster: Uboraan, Max E too. I started to look for cards on eBay, my aunt managed to get me 2 Blazvatans and a few others, and I was about 250 cards into a collection.
^ This was my prize at the time, I thought energy meant everything..
I never wanted to play online, I thought it would devalue my cards; but I did try. I made an account under Gnarlusguy or something like that and started uploading my creatures(because creatures were obviously most important). This was on the old pad, may I mention. I got done about 40, was typing the last one in and hit backspace. It turned out I wasn't typing and it took me to the previous page on my web browser. I clicked forward and my cards were gone! I thought I lost all of them! I was discouraged and decided not to go online.
My aunt told me I was probably missing out. So there I sat, again, deciding on another name. I was going to go with BedBarrathandBeyond, but it wasn't 16 characters. My aunt knew my obsession with Blaz so she mentioned BlazvaSprayTan: woot it had us cracking up! BlzvSprayTan managed to fit inside the account name. I tried to upload my cards again: success! (Good thing they had a second button to upload once your cards were typed in) I made a kickin' Warbeast deck and hopped in 6v6 app. Needless to say, I got rekt.
I managed to get better. Started making friends. Pulled a Headmaster Ankhyja Max E(First Ultra pull I took note of). I hopped on the forums and stuck to the Gameplay section for a bit. Then I ventured out to Army Creations where I made Blizzy's Weekly. I took up an apprenticeship under some dude, who managed to get a Fliandar out of me. I was getting better though, I had a strike deck that started sweeping the 6v6 Apprentice seen. That's when Chaotic stopped making cards.
Once I started getting better, though, and was VERY active on the Beta drome's chat, I met Masquerade and Kevinisbeast. Decided to try making my own chaotic team: which all flopped. I traded that Max E Headmaster for a Slash Claw... I'm still wondering why. I beat RiderZO in a battle or two, and I was doing good! People changed, times changed, I got in a pretty serious feud with KingMaxor4, and became one of the best 6v6app deck builders on the forums and in the dromes. Things started dying off, and my name was becoming fairly well known.
And then I rage quit. Was gone for a bit. Came back though, how could I not? This time I was older, had good card knowledge and experience. I reached over 1000 games played, and about a 72% win rate: I was always concerned on my win rate. I was pretty unstoppable in 6v6app, and the community was small enough on the forums that Km4 and all of us were just trying to hold it together. It lasted a while like that: pretty dead.
I had always wanted to make a Masters deck, but I wanted it to be good and I wanted it to have warbeasts. I tried some Masters online, but it didn't always go well. I spent over a year trying to put a Warbeast deck together for masters. I finally was onto something when I combined an idea of Anti's from the Army Creations forum and some ideas of my own to make the deck I call Vollkomm. I hosted an offline tournament with Negoska, Anti and King and had a lot of fun. It was my first offline tournament; that's where Vollkomm was finally completed and made its debut- it was a smash hit! I hopped in the dromes a lot less, I had another game that took priority. Then June 17th 2013 happened.
The forums had died before, but this time it was for real. Blitser, a few others and I helped King get these forums to be the #1 backup. We saw a lot head over from dracco. The site has done pretty well since then. Had another offline tournament and some get-togethers with Anti and King. Finished watching all the episodes. Let my collection rot.
Now as we're approaching 2015, I have just one decision to make:
What tribe I want!
Since I don't believe that Generic is an option, I'm just going to have to be a Mipedian. Afterall, I have been a Mipedian player pretty much since I started, and I've reached new ground with that tribe. It's an honor to reach another milestone in the life of the game that happens to be dead.
I can't say I'll be around much; but boy has it been an awesome adventure thus far! Hope to see you all here up to Chaotic's 10th anniversary!
