Catching up...

Hey there everyone! Just wanted to drop in and say hi. How are you all? I'd love to hear how life has been treating everyone. And I'd love to see some of the old regulars post here. It hit me recently that it's been 7 and a half years since I first started at TC Digital way way back when. So much has happened in life, both in and outside of work. So many of you were such a big part of the community back in the day, it would be great to hear how life has treated you. Also, what games are you into now? Still play Chaotic? Play other games?

Also, if you want to know how myself or other former TCD folks are doing, feel free to ask. I still keep in touch with almost all of them regularly, from the top to the bottom.

Seeing these forums always makes me grin because they were such a huge part of my life. I should ask Nick07 and Occasus to post here too.

Hello. Don't know much about you, but still, hi!

How's it been, Blargers? I guess you could call me an old regular :p I actually don't remember what your roles were for the company. What kinds of things did you do aside from moderating the forum?

A different question: Are you able to talk about where the licensing issues lie now? I'm interested in building a more comprehensive game client so that the people who still play can have an easier way of doing so online, but I'd rather not have my toes cut off by the reformed 4Licensing. If not, do you know who I'd contact to see what's fair game?

As for what I'm doing now, Magic: the Gathering is my #1 card game drug of choice. I'm Working at Bluehost as tech support for the VPS/Dedi customers, but I'm planning on going to school for software development. I've got several game ideas up my sleeves (one of which is a card game that I hope will take off). I still get deeply nostalgic whenever I think of the days I spent playing Chaotic, so I hope something good comes of the game.

I actually just returned home from a vacation to Toronto for my birthday. I was able to spend time with family, and also visit a famous comic shop. Now that I'm home I'll be settling back into my regular routine with work, and running game servers for a certain fandom in my spare time.

Just before that trip I also finished a rather beefy computer, so I'm going to be going through the library of Steam games I've built up over the last few years. I'll stick the specs in a spoiler tag for anyone who's interested in that sort of thing.

This is insanely off-topic, but what are you going to use it for? I've never quite understood the need for such a monstrosity when most people will pretty much never use it to it's fullest extent.

The GPU fan has yet to turn on I've got it cooled so well. There were a few reasons for the parts I went with, but the largest was to let me do everything I need in the world of graphic design with a really high level of quality. I create everything from fractal artwork to 3D models, so unfortunately there was nowhere to cheap out in terms of specs.

One more question for ya:
What ever happened to gameslam.com? I just stumbled on Hikeda's blog from ages past and it mentioned that. Seems like the domain's for sale now, however.

That venture has long since ended now. It was a pretty interesting concept at first, and certainly had some rather cool people, but didn't go anywhere. I haven't talked with anyone about Gameslam in years, so perhaps Blargs can give you a better description of what went down.

While GS was still around I was actually ranked number one on their all-time leaderboards though. I recall that the game was re-balanced to nerf my strategies quite a few times. Nick07 was always just a step behind.

Blargs it would be awesome if you could get those two to swing back around for a visit.

I'm just starting to go looking through posts but has there been discussion about the tabletop simulator in steam? I've noticed topics to get the card images brought back.

Nintendo Handhelds are just good, man. Handhelds in general. If only because they're handhelds.
Tabletop Simulator Chaotic could be interesting promotion, but not sure if everyone would want to go thru the resources and build decks, etc.

hey blargers. you may remember me. Draco218. that used to be.my username. I created Dawn Of The Chaotic Draco to show history of the game and series. a lot has changed since chaotic died. I'm 23 now. engagedband have my own home. I still collect and play. also I still have the cards shirt and window cling I received from Chris Evans of TC Digital. still have the letter and poster as well. I miss the show and the game so much. if not for chaotic I never would have socialized like I do now. I am not lying when I say that Chaotic changed my life.
