Ever since I watched the first shows, I almost daily asked myself: why aren't they making an MMORPG out of this or something like it. A world where players can explore the world of Perim, live dangerous adventures, scan extremely rare locations and creatures because they put the time and effort into exploring every nook and crany. And then play the creatures, battlegear, locations they found in the open world of Perim in an arena style game putting 1-5 players versus another player or team.
At the begining you could customize your avatar and then you would get a Guild Wars 2 style questionnaire that would suggest the best faction that corresponds to your answer (Overworld, Underworld, Danian, Mipedian) without locking you into one of those choices. You would then start your adventure in the capital of said faction and start exploring a living breathing world. Implemented with, yet again GW2 style dynamic events for more uncommon creatures, gear, etc, an undefined map to motivate people to explore to get better "cards" and then have the possibility to play the things you tried so hard to get. The player wouldn't have any spells or couldn't lvl up, but he could find battlegear to but into his "inventory" and use in the world of Perrim to interact with the environment or complete quests from important characters to be able to ask for their help with something or get privileged information.
The world could evolve and advance just like in the show. For 4-5 months nothing changes but out of the blue, people start talking about a door in a keep and don't know what it is. People start looking for the door, strange writings, creatures acting strangely. Suddenly, dynamic event, crazy creature opens the doors and BOOM Marrilian invasion up in this ****. The world changes etc...
And then you could have solo or team combat in the domes, have a ranked system, and other. I mean, in my head, this is a freaking INCREDIBLE idea, i just want to know if this has been thought of and if it has, why hasn't it been done? I mean ok you need a ****tone of ressources and money, but i think many people could like this Idea.
