Also, anyone who has a combined total (of this site and the old) of 5000 can also apply for an instant tribification. Although you would have to prove it like the previous case.

Pftt, you think I did? If we're doing it that way, I'll count it towards that old standard of 5000 for tribe (which I would have made if I did it this way).

I think we should all get the tribe member status for sticking to the game this long.

Perhaps if the this site gets HUGE in the future, everyone with registration prior to a certain date; but for now it is going to be based on posts.

Just somehow gets huge.

I just don't think it really matters anymore so why not have some fun.

Because when everyone has it, it becomes normal and unwanted. It is something you earn.

In all seriousness though, Tribe member was a pretty big deal on the old site. When someone got Tribe Member there was always a sort of celebration in general chat. Something that outright wasn't allowed for other ranks. Occasus even had an announcement!

I can be the one to vouch for Hikeda's post count back on the old site as well. ^^

I just think that amount of time should trump the amount of posts one has. I've been here with chaotic since it started in 2007. Shouldn't that count for something?

A lot of the title of Tribe member is based off of having helped people, interacted with the community, showed game knowledge and presence, and had high participation.

While how long you've stuck with the game is truly amazing, helping/conversing with everyone takes it to the next step. You've showed your involvement.

Which is more impressive? 5 years spent on a game with about 5 days of playtime, or 1 year spent on a game with 30 days of play time? Each one is good in its own way, and it just so happens that Tribe member is rewarded for the latter.

On that note, in terms of scaling, it would be 500 on the old forum. So since you said you had about +4000 then add ~500 would have brought you up to Tribe Member. OP Math!

Well if we're going by the new vs. old post system I guarantee you I had more than a thousand. I was looking at the archive, couldn't pull one of the posts I was replying to though...

100 posts will definitely take a good chunk of time.

Basically the rank system here is about 1/5 of what it was on the old site because of volume.

So if you had, say, 4,500 posts on the old site that would be equivalent to 900 posts on this site, hence why you need 100 posts to get Tribe Member.
