certainly is a pretty OP gear negating any attack is a super strong effect. Agies aria makes you next attack 0 for such a price and adaptive progression costs 2 and will only negate an elemental attack. so being able to do it anytime the equiped creature is engaged on any attack mearly by sacing the gear is some pretty cheap stuff. Not to mention of course all the bodal senangins but that causes trouble no matter which sac gear you use so whatever. Its certainly and example of "this card is hard to get so we can make it super good" logic that plauges alot of ultra rares and High quailty cards in other games. The logic with good ultras I assume is to get people to buy more packs to get them and such but having a promo be one of the best Battlegear in the game seems counter productive since people will only really buy it in the secondary market where you won't make any profits. so yeah quality gear towards the OP end of the spectrum very hard to get which is whatever promos are like that. that is all.

Yes in terms of collection. Everyone would post all these trades for it and just pray they get accepted

@Afjak I think the reason why Droskin didn't ever seem like such a threat was due to it's immense rarity. I can only recall ever facing the card once and even then, it was misplayed so it's effect was nullified. I think if Droskin was more widely available, someone somewhere would have found a way to abuse the card in 6v6 Masters.

@Chio I'm actually kind of glad Chaotic made their rarest card, something of actual rarity. In all TCGs, their rarest cards are always misprints or something that isn't tournament legal so to see Chaotic do something different with their actual promos is refreshing.

I'm fine with super exclusive cards pretty sure most major games have a few but just not a huge fan of pay to win and all that where the most valuable cards are also much higher power and this seems especially goofy, though I assume if chaotic ever caught on the droskin might just have been one of those cards you can't use competitively so who cares lol.

What was the droskin even printed for? Was it a tournament promo or something?

Yes, the droskin was given out at the 2011 worlds tournament I believe.

Still on my list to obtain.... super frustrating as it's one of my last to complete a really decent collection.

After a long time away from the game I'm really wishing Chaotic had taken an approach similar to Hearthstone (no matter what issues that game has with balance) and had higher rarity cards or promos like these have unique or fun effects which aren't necessarily super-powerful. In fact, if the general powercreep and (quick) rises in complexity had been held down a bit, I think the game could have been a bit more successful and open. Still had a lot of fun while it lasted though
