Too conclude this "Arc Reactor" topic, the metal alloy used was not vibranium but palladium and fyi, admantium was created under the impression of making vibranium because they couldn't understand the logic of metal that absorbs the thingy. It's too bad that Chaotic went down, because guaranteed one of their moves would to be a mobile app. They had all sorts of merchandise like energy drinks and such, so I wouldn't see why they wouldn't include an app for keeping track of your Card Collection or something, or turning your iPhone into a "scanner". I don't really care of the price, I'd totally get it   Anyone with the knowledge of making apps should definitely pool their time into making one

Not that energy drinks are the best thing for you, but I would've bought them just because. I wouldn't drink them, just hid them in a corner until they corroded through the can and destroyed my carpets. And a mobile app would be great. Put QR codes on the cards so that they can be scanned (Or just improve print quality on the number codes) and it would make life so much easier. Especially if it were able to scan more than one at a time, or didn't require going through several menus. (Like you open the app, scan the card, and it pops up, you click add to folder, then you move on to the next card. It uploads in the background or you can pause it so that you can upload them all at once instead of waiting for your potentially sloppy internet to complete the upload each step of the way.)

The codes were legible enough for text recognition to have been able to read them.
Queuing the uploading is not a bad idea. But honestly you're internet has to be pretty awful to have to worry about that. The packet of data really shouldn't be to large. I think it was the site itself that lagged when uploading rather than the actual verification. Because I had pretty decent internet and uploading took some time for the page.

Why is the code so important all of a sudden?

Well, each card is different right? If the app could register the Code, then along with the card, it would also have all it's unique stats.

I was being sarcastic. Yea that's what we were talking about.

Marillian, cut Mmax some slack- it's snowing in Canada in mid April and we're all entitled to our brain fart moments.

I'm talking about when you're driving through the middle of nowhere and using mobile data. Perhaps you don't have unlimited or are simply in an area with poor coverage. Most home internet should be able to handle the code upload, but the Chaotic site did have a bit of excess that could have been streamlined for sure.

Then just don't upload cards in the middle of nowhere...?

Monkey, it was snowing here too lol We went from 70's to freezing overnight. The weather trolls us.

It isn't always in the middle of nowhere when the internet decides to crap out though and just saying not to do stuff isn't an actual solution - most of us are human, most of us do things that make little to no sense.

The app could store codes on the phone till it can connect to a proper network.

I relent. Thinking about it. Its not too bad of an idea.
