Teamspeak server?

so i thought of having a teamspeak server so everyone aart of this site could talk and interact with eachother. Just a thought i could buy it if anyone else agrees

TS3 servers I thought were free.. the only downside is that the host computer must be running for the server to be running.

Remember that mumble and Skype are free as well.

well no..you have to pay a certain amount of money every month to have a 100% uptime teamspeak server whichi can pay for since they are very cheap and have it public for anyone that enjoys chaotic

I don't see a TS server getting much use from us, but I already have one. It's running on the same machine I use to host game servers.

The address isn't very Chaotic, but if anyone's interested then pm me. IP's not public info atm~

We could also use a public vent server.

Only thing is we don't seem to be online together often. (Though it's picked up strangely as of late)
Unless I'm misunderstanding what Teamspeak is, I think the forums with a casual check and go system is likely better in our current state.

All of these are voice chat programs, that you can log in to chat with anyone else logged in.

All besides skype use little data/bandwidth, so it's ok to be logged into them for long periods of time(which increases your chance to find someone to chat with).

well maybe it doesnt have to be soo active maybe it can just be there for thoes few times that there aregonna be alot of people on or even just 2 people maybe talking while in a tco match or really anything at all

I have Team Speak Client 3. It's quite useful, though I don't find myself using it due to issues with "friends".


I know that there is a way for you to have it for free. As Blz mentioned earlier, you need the host to have his computer running it for the TS to run. I personally like it and would be willing to communicate with you guys Via TS.

ok i think enough people agree so ill be buying the ts server tomorrow..and i guess ill post a topic about it

I would not recommend purchasing it. There are many other free alternatives.

Public Ventrilo servers are available, and Mumble is also a free program.

Yoohoo, offering free TS server which is already set up and everything.

If it was anything much worse than that I'd be ranting on ignoring the multiple offers of a free one, which has a much nicer IP.

But ya, my server's running on specs that a lot of game servers don't even have and it sits empty 24/7. You should look into finding a couple other uses than Chaotic for yours as well.
