Tracking down past creature cards

Made a reddit post but I couldn't post any links due to my account being so new, instead I'll just copy/paste it from the chaotic subreddit:

Hey all! Figured a Chaotic subreddit would be the best place to ask, so here I am, asking. Has anyone else noticed how difficult it is to find physical Secrets of The Lost City boosters? They're the only packs that have a chance to drop past creature cards like Vlar and Younger Najarin. I have seen the beginner lost city pack (which do have a guaranteed three or four past creatures) on eBay and various other websites, but I don't really fancy purchasing two or three of them at a 30 dollar price, just to get some past creature cards.
If anyone knows any websites or are actually selling cards yourselves, do let me know! Any and all responses are appreciated

Just wanted to know if anyone else could help me with this, I didn't even know this website existed but I guess that's what to love about the internet, there are communities everywhere.

past cards eh? well 2 things your should know.

1. secrets booster packs are sold out everywhere I know there might be some lurking somewhere so if anyone else knows feel free

2. that doesn't really matter cause what your after is secrets starter decks. I know its weird but past card can only be found in starter decks there are 4 per deck, usually 3 rares and 1 super or ultra, the decks also contain 1 boosterpack and 24 pre constructed cards. I know Ebay, Amazon and stop2shop all still have them go ahead and look there.

Ah, thanks Chiodosin for your informative reply!  I did find some Lost city starter decks on Stop2Shop, for some too good to be true low prices, I've sent them an email asking about their stock just in-case they don't have any but have accidentally kept the listing up.  Have you had experience with stop2shop in the past?

I have bought singles from them in the past (they have all the gold versions of the early supers and ultras). there shipping was on the high side but the cards arived promply and were all there so no complaints here.

Stop2shop has always had the best prices on starter decks and booster packs. I've bought a bunch of stuff from them, highly recommend.

Just to be clear, I've seen misinformation spread around on that subreddit and gone uncorrected. It's definitely not the best place to go for info on all things Chaotic, but luckily you found your way here to our wonderful little site.

As for the past cards, Chio there summed it up pretty well. Past cards only come from Secrets of the Lost City starter decks, with each one having three rares and one super or ultra.

The other site admin swears he has pulled past cards from regular SotLC packs though, and I don't doubt him. That would make them packaging errors though, so take that info as you will.

I haven't done any shopping for cards in a long time though so I can't comment on Stop2Shop unfortunately.

I also highly recommend stop2shop. They were the last place I bought packs from. I believe they have a special on certain days that you get free shipping after spending 70? At least that was something that I had used idk if its still around.

Ah, thanks everyone ^^ Pretty confident now that I won't get jigged, gonna buy myself 5 lost city starter decks and a binder. If it turns out that they actually have them in-stock, I might come back and post about any cool past cards that I pull!
