xeild

this guy is a fun double sided card, he does what he does in the show now! the rules are a bit wonkey but basically you choose the mode you want in deckbuilding and he's locked into that mode basically like its 2 totally different cards. (don't forget to forget)

I really like this version. The taking 5 reduced damage feels like a shield.

Here's my idea. Two sided still, but starts creature side up. With an additional ability.

Xeild takes 5 less damage from all sources.
Xeild begins the game this side up. 
If Xeild is unequipped, you may attach it to target unequipped creature you control as a battlegear. Flip Xeild over. You can use this ability once per turn.
Unique.

As a battlegear:
"
Equipped Creature takes 5 less damage attacks. When equipped creature wins combat, destroy Xeild.
If Xeild would be flipped face down, place it on an open space of the battleboard instead.

yeah I thought about having him change but I decided being locked in would be more in line with the show (and give afjak less headaches)
