Cadence Clash and Whepcrack Questions Empty Cadence Clash and Whepcrack Questions

So Cadence Clash reads, "Negate target Mugic and return that card to its owner's hand." Does that prevent the opponent from replaying the same mugic card in that burst phase (even if they have mugic counters leftover), and if it does, can they play it later on in the same turn, or likewise, a duplicate during the burst phase?

I hope this makes sense. Based off of the description, it appears that nothing would prevent the card from being played again, if mugics are available.

One other quick question, Whepcrack reads, "Equipped Creature has an additional 15 Power. If equipped Creature is UnderWorld, it has "Fire 5." Because The second line is a conditional effect, would that count as a triggered effect, meaning that disarm would not prevent it's execution (similarly to "when a creature is engage...")?

Man this game seems complicated at times, but I guess that's why I love it!

Whepcrack's second ability is conditional, but its not triggered. Its a conditional innate effect. "If .. has/gain" are that format

If it were triggered, it would be worded such as, "At the beginning... gain" or "When x happens... gain"

So with cadence that's a common misconception. Short answer, it does prevent replaying the Mugic in the same burst. Here's why.

Fundamentally, you can not play something mid burst resolution (there are cards that reopen the burst mid-resolution, sigh Enre-hep, but that's not what's being done here). The bounce effect of cadence doesn't happen until it resolves. Therefore, since you can't interrupt the resolution of the burst, they are unable to play the Mugic again that burst.

That makes sense. I guess it would make it too overpowered.

Damn, I just looked him up... I need an Entre-Hep HM! Probably one of the best abilities in the game.

    Thanks again for your help!
