A chaotic memorial tournament?

When: next summer probably july? pleanty of time for planning,saving up a lil $$ to travel with
Who: EVERYONE (looking at you blarg)
why: so that we dont forget chaotic and just let it die. I dont really want to live every day devoted to a game that will never come back so why not set up one magnificent weekend to remember it by?
What: pure awesomeness.



Where: im going to do some location scouting. Looking for the midway point between the largest chaotic communities. The majority of our offline player base resides/resided on the east coast. we want to be far enough north that canadian players could make the trek down but not lose the southern stragglers such as kakashie. We are all old enough now to be able to travel for this kinda thing. Im willing to put up a considerable amount of money to make this thing run. again like i said there will be budgiting and location scouting which brings me to my next point.

******I need help i cant do this alone. Anyone interested in helping to run/organize this next year please let me know. Those of you who dont want that active of a role please contact your frieneds spread the word. I cant promise you anything more than a fun time filled with old memories and new memories. *****

Tournament details will be decided upon closer to next summer but far enough in advance that you can plan your summer vacations around it and for those of you younger guys and gals such as myself it will give u time to convince your parents to take you to the tourney.

Anti it's funny seeing newb under your name but to the point what you need to do for the tournament since it might be the last Chaotic TCG Tournament is go out with a bang and what makes a bigger bang they a Round-Robin tournament setup.

haha i know right. it does seem fitting i kinda am a newb. Great idea though! I'm a big fan of round robin tournaments myself i hate straight up elim. I left my contact information on a reply in the chaotic is dead thread in general chat. if your interested in helping out message me on something.

i would love to come but, there is 2 things that some chaotic players face. one is that some players actuallly dont have a great big offline collection this means that limited decks or mayb even none and the second if you live wayy too south, then there is a chance that we might not be able to make it that far north for this very fantastic event

You've got a point @plokjhgfdsa. But back to the round robin thing the thing i like about it is it gives you time to get into the fill of things unlike straight up elimination

And this is why, players with a bigger collection(there are a few of us) can let you borrow cards for the event. Between the 3 that I know, you'll get enough cards to battle even if you have to battle one of us 3.

im loving your generosity but for people like me who live on the other side of the world, traveling to cali seems miles away haha but if i can come, illl defs be there

Would love to come, but if things go as planned for me, Chaotic might be up by then. I'm hoping to contact the coders and receive the code for some of the major parts of the website. Anyone know any coders I could easily contact?

And, I'm in a bit of a fix right now. Starved for money. Would you be willing to possibly maybe livestream the matches or record them? I think a livestream would be great for the people who don't have loads of money.

You have an entire year.. save up a few bucks and come to the tourney. where are you from?

I have put together websites before. I'm in Alabama (Not a hillbilly, thank god!), but I barely have any money. I'm saving up some money, but right now I'm buying up spare Chaotic cards on amazon. I lost my old set. . I'm hoping to be able to attend once I get a good deck back together. I might not be able to attend next year, though. If not, I think we should try doing these maybe once every two or three years. I might not be much help, though. But if you need all the help you can get, I can help put together some stuff. I might be able to attend if I can get together some money. So, where would this convention be, exactly? I could afford probably a cheap flight near the East Coast.

I think an Offline Tournament with people would be amazing. It seems a little too difficult to put together, but the idea sounds like it would be very fun. It would really have to depend on where for me. I live in Canada, BC, and I just got back from traveling, and University takes a lot out of pocket, but if it was California or something like that, I'd like to make the effort

I think we should make this a central location to the majority of Chaotic Players:

Lets not exactly think 'central', lets make it where the least of us has to fly. And then at least we can put some money in to help people out.

If it's in Cali,arizona,utah,nevada I'll definetly be there. I can give a ride to 9 people in those areas and back considering I have this van the size of a small bus getting out there wouldn't be a problem or hassel considering I have friends in family in all those states.

If I could pull some money together then I'd love to do this. It would be awesome to actually have a real Chaotic tournament. Even when the game was in full-swing I always felt there were not enough held.

I think the organized play was badly done.

if this is happening in the next two years then i'm there and i'll don't really care where is it going to be just need the place time and date
