Another is an interesting horror type High School thing. I think it's horror. I don't genre judge.

No, it wasn't, but I looked it up quickly. A superhuman who wants to destroy the world but not only is giving humans a chance to stop him, but is teaching them too? At first made me laugh at how ridiculous the concept is, but how awesome it could be. But then I was like - it seems that it would be a seinen, but its a Shōnen? That was meant to be a heh heh - like what is this... seems like it would be too dark, but its a comedy? I'm still interested. A comedy in this type of setting could be good.

I really enjoy it. It's funny, not dark. There's a reason he exists and why he wants to be destroyed is hinted at. It's funny, I think, and a good read.

Just started Darker than Black. So far really good (episode 5).

toradora was amazing! any other recommendations similar to it? I think another was another great anime sadly it was so short

So, being out of the Anime loop, I just now found Log Horizon. It's like SAO. I really enjoyed the first episode. I'll let you know more as I progress.

It's almost identical to Sword Art except the protagonist is an intelligent strategist instead of an overlevelled brute. I've watched 9 episodes now and I've really taken a liking to the series.

I need to do some research on this if it is similar to SAO.

They're trapped in a game just like SAO, but it's about developing an economy and society. I like it because it's about growth like a business and politics. Idk. I find it extremely engaging.

Log Horizon is exactly like SAO ..probably better story wise but not as good design wise.

I like that we're seeing the development rather than leaving it to timeskip constantly. I also like the variety in classes rather than everyone being a swordsmith.

Also, I just remembered a Manga I read awhile back. Kamisama no Iutoori. It was fun. Kids at school were chosen by something to go through tests to become god. Just unique Japanese customs/games turned into life or death level competitions. It's a bit graphic at times if I remember right, but it was good. Also, it has a sequel on what happened to anyone who stayed home sick.

Imma check Log Horizon after I'm done with season 1 of darker than black.

I just caught up with a manwha called Bride of the Water God. It's really good, however the english translators kinda stopped.
I've never heard of Log Horizon nor watched SAO. I might have to go check them out lol.
And has anyone watched Guilty Crown? And if so is it any good?

I watched a few episodes of Guilty Crown. The characters felt flat to me. The concept seemed cool, but it all just seemed rushed. I'd recommend you give it a try because it was beautiful, but...You'll have to make a decision on your own.
I prefer LH over SAO. SAO had a really good story condensed into one season and it was just poorly rushed. They started with a focus on completing the game, then needed to finish up the Kirito Asuna relationship and spent too long on it when they didn't have time. It made complete sense for them to create lives together in a world where they might not make it out, but it slowed down progress and sped up development in a way that just wasn't good.

like terabyte said guilty crown has amazing graphics and animations but the story was so bland ill check out log horizon when it completes though. i hate watching ongoing animes!! xD
