Which starter deck?

Hi guys...
I'm thinking about getting a starter deck as I never had that great of an offline deck.
Anyway, I was wondering which starter deck to get.
For 5 dollars, I could get a Marrillian 2.0 starter.
For 13 dollars, I could get a Secrets of the lost city starter.
The Secrets of the lost city has only 24 preselected cards, and a Lost city booster...
Which one?

Secrets is going to be a better box. It gives past cards which will fit in pretty well with any starter deck. The cards have also improved slightly since Marrillian Invasion.

Alliances Unraveled is known for its elemental attack cards, and Forged Unity is known for its discipline attack cards. Buying a few packs of these will surely improve a starter deck.

I mean what tribe are the creatures?

its 100% random you can get any of the 4 main tribes

That was a really annoying move... Plus straight up downsizing the cards by half... but lets not start a rage here

I think it was a good move. I agree it was frustrating, but from a "Starter's" perspective, they know nothing about the game so choosing a tribe based solely on the show can lead to problems. And if you truly know nothing, having the choice made for you helps. It was also good for the big tournies. No one could complain about not getting the Tribe they wanted. From a collector's perspective, none of them were exclusive (that I recall) so we really didn't lose anything out of it.
Also, when you get to the store, and there's that one left that no one wants, it's an awful feeling. But this way every box has a chance at greatness. Just my $.02

Apparently my neighbour had a massive bag of Chaotic cards, and didn't want them anymore.

I now have a deck for each tribe.
