What cards have backfired for you?

I was wondering what card/combination has backfired for you in a match.


For me, its definitely Windslash/Telebracers.

There's been a game where my opponent randomly played Wind Slash and flipped my Telebracers, which got rid of a location I needed to seal in the win. He won that game based on that play.

On the flip side(lol), I've had an opponent Wind Slash on my turn, flipping my Telebracers and turning up the location: Mipedim Mirage. I used that mirage ability to win the game from there. I was playing a Gintanai deck and he had a creature in my back line that I couldn't get to. By getting that mirage, I was able to steer myself to a nail biting victory.

Just the plain old recklessness ability fits this topic pretty well. haha

A "fun" example for this would be using a brainwashed Akkalbi against another deck that can give recklessness.

I was talking about Akkali BW in another thread. I had an idea to give opponents recklessness and then amplify it with Akkalbi BW, but a for his BW ability ended up killing the whole on-line deck. The bugs were sometimes challenging to work around.

Most of the time it was location that would work against me like Carnival of Confusion against a two element attack deck that used the right combo of elements. Other than that it was Olkiex's Apron against Super Charged Elements. So annoying...

Can we just be best pals? I did this back on the old site with a pair of Ribbian's and Levitaar's to boot. Pseudo recklessness 30 for them.

Here's another one - running Doomhammer and the original Stelgar in the same deck against an opponent who can swap your battlegear.
