Anyone have an opinion about accel world?

Guilty Crown I've heard was good. 

I'm looking for a manga if anyone has any suggestions (preferable based on what I like ). I'm trying D. Gray Man atm.

I liked D. Gray Man, but it's been on hiatus for a long time now. *Unsure*
I also liked Accel world, but they skipped a lot. The concept was cool, but it was more about the world rather than the fights which is kinda what was interesting. I wouldn't have minded a world exploration vibe, but they would introduce a new concept to the game/world and then in the next episode, you would timeskip to a point where they've leveled up and mastered the new concept. It was very jumpy. I think SAO and Accel World were probably great light novels, but because they only managed to secure 1 season to start, they were rushed and you lost a lot of development. I really wish people would just make things because they wanted to make them the best they could be, but we don't live in a perfect world and people need money.

Yea that's why I'm leery of light novel to anime conversions...

As of chapter 12 I don't like D gray man. The setting is all right, but I don't like the characters.

Like SAO but with an awful intolerable fat little a-hole. Who gets girls and powers he doesn't deserve. The underdog thing seems like a nice change at first but the plot,logic and characters are awful and even the animation is terrible especially compared to SAO. 2/10 not worth your time...skip it. I think the plot was good, but it was just too rushed, just like SAO. I really liked the game since it gave you an Avatar instead of you creating your own. I would much rather play AW than SAO if I were warped inside with Nerve Gear like objects. Especially because I love how it introduced the brain's processing power as a way to look ahead. If we eventually manage to tap the mind, we could live in an augmented universe like SAO at incredible speed and only miss a few brief moments in the real world. You want to play an hour before bed? Well Accel World time means you'd be playing for a thousand hours. That's a long time to exist. It also means you'd be missing a lot in game if you logged out for a week, but still. I thought that was really cool about it. Good concept anime, poorly executed. Worth a look, but if you are just looking for a SAO replacement, go to Log Horizon. I loved it all (Aside from the latest episode where we approached the love interests a bit to strongly)

No, it was that people kept mentioning how bad accel world was and I couldn't find out why so I had to ask.

Anyone heard of Trigun? Started watching it last night, its something else for sure. Up to episode 6 its LOL!

:0 don't forget to watch the Trigun Movie Badland rumble. it's not cannon as far as I know so the plot doesn't interfere much with the show but I'd still watch it after.

The thing I disliked most about Accel world was the ending. It didn't provide any closure at all. In fact, the whole season was like that. Opening up a bunch of possibilities only to ignore them.

On the subject of Guilty Crown, I personally deplore it. I feel as if it is a poor attempt at copying Code Geass' plot. Mind you, I love Code Geass, so this is the main reason why I hate Guilty Crown. All hail Lelouch Vi Britannia!

I watched Kill la Kill. That was good (on fanservice). It was also enjoyable.

Yea I heard about the fanservice for that... Was it on par with Highschool of the Dead? Or is my memory exaggerating it

HSOTD was an ecchi so i'd have to be ecchi to be on par with it and that's basically all it was with a crappy standard zombie plot.

Haha. After completing the series all the way through, I highly recommend Kill la Kill. Very good.

I don't know if this would be in the taste of everyone but the Berserk movies (1-3) was really good. The first one's dub was very well done and even if you're not into subs you should make an exception for the 2 other movies. It has some bad stuff in it and the "ending" as in current ending but they're possibly making a fourth one will really mess with your head.

Do the Berserk movies require prior knowledge of the series for full enjoyment?

If the movies are anything like the manga...
