Hi everyone! Long time... catch up post!

Hey all - it's been a while. I wanted to stop in, say hi, see who's still here from the old days, and see how everyone is doing. For the old timers, Chaotic|Wolficus still works with me here. And I see Rellik, Nanaue, Sotirios and more all the time.. And I talk to Bryan Gannon too!

How is everyone doing? Is there still a site where people are playing Chaotic online? I remember one had been made a while back...

well I'm not what you would call an old-timer but do know who you are and what you did and its awesome. I'm a pretty active member of the community at this point and thing are pretty chill around here. there are some regulars and a lot of off and on people. But new people keep finding us somehow which is fantastic. In terms of playing online Tradecardsonline still has a functional player for the game. Its less like the dromes and more like playing a game with the cards. There aren't a ton of online players less then a dozen consistent players (myself included) is typical. but overall were still here and we still love chaotic as far as I know.

I'm sorry I'm new so I dont know who you are. But i do remember reading your name in the wikipedia article about chaotic and how you've made attempts to save it i think. but i dont know what Chiodosin1 means by "who you are and what you did", would you mind clearing it up for me?

If I'm not mistaken he used to run the old chaotic forums on the chaoticgame.com website before the whole thing.... well you know.

oh wow , so he's like really important and could be one of the guys that really helps bring Chaotic back?

not to be a downer but I'm fairly sure neither he nor anyone else works for chaotic really anymore he's just a fan like us now I think but still he's got a awesome past.

Howdy Blargers. The community is still around and kicking. I'm always glad to see you drop in and say hi. It'd be great if you could get some of the other mods to join us occasionally. Its cool that you're still in contact with some of the other folks.

Overworld Rider - yeah, I don't work for TC Digital anymore, because there isn't a TC Digital right now. But, I did work for them, and was there the day that Chaotic first launched online, October 24th, 2007, and was there until the last day of the website. I ran the community with my team of moderators, and we handled the online part of the site and the game. I also managed the Customer Service team. It was a great time back then - we watched Chaotic grow from nothing into the beast it became. We'd get to test out the new sets before release. In fact, I think I have the images from all the cards unreleased in set 3.2 somewhere too. I came back when Kodo formed too. In fact, October 2012 we had a 5 year anniversary battle online. Tons of old moderators, staff and players came back and played. It was a blast!!

The team was awesome, and I have TONS of stories. It's still amazing to me that this community is here, and that you guys recreated the forums AND play on that tradecardsonline site. It blows my mind - TC Digital essentially stopped late 2010, and Kodo went away in early 2013, but you're all still here.. Really awesome.

Hey Blargers, only recently found the backup forum after purchasing a case of tins for £20 off ebay. I knew the game was shutdown but ended up purchasing it for a uni taster event. I run the gaming society there and for Friday Night TCG I'm going to try get a few people to try it out, seeing as it was a very very very niche, borderline unheard of card game here in the UK.

Hey Blargers! Its nice to some of the old guard around even if it is only occasionally. Nice boon to morale. I was with Chaotic since the beginning so I do remember you.

wait do you really have the 3.2 pictures? like the actual card designs or just the art? either way I think I speak for everyone when I say I would LOVE to see those!

I've got the card designs somewhere.. I think? Either way, it's not something I can show.. I don't think. I should find out though, see if it's cool to actually show all those off now or not..

Hah! Well, to be fair, production values weren't the greatest.. I love the intro though, it's like some cheesy sitcom. Especially Zaktar's turn to the camera like, "oh! Didn't see you there!"

At least they changed mine in Episode 3 to reflect Maxxor as my business card and a better thing than standing there.

Ahhh, we wanted to make so many more of these... Incidentally, my voice sounds nothing like that in real life. Ugh. Man these were some great folks to work with..

Hmm if images were magically transferred through idk some p2p encrypted to some person who may leak them on a major social sharing site...

But that aside, those podcasts were really cool. I don't know how I wasn't linked to them ever. I also remember the "Day in the office" videos which were hilarious. I always enjoy getting to know tad bits about Chaotic. For future reference you probably should get Micheal Bay and M Night Shyamalan to produce/direct your videos.

Did you ever take part in designing any cards in particular? do you have a favorite card?

Haha ahhh the day in the office videos... Man, we were so dumb, but those were so fun to produce. Although, my, ahem, "acting" in the one where I was taking my revenge and loading the nerf blaster was terribad.. My favorite was the 'Chair-by nerfing' one. Funny tidbit, as Sotirios was being dragged on his chair.. after he passed the camera, they lost control and he slammed into the office door of one of our executives. You can actually hear the crash at the end of the video.

Favorite card was OG Maxxor because he was my business card. We all got to choose a character to be our business card.. once it was taken, well, no one else could have it. Bryan Gannon and I got the luckiest - he was Chaor, I was Maxxor.

When they were designing Aa'une - the art director came over and talked to us about his design and got feedback.

I actually had been talking about helping to design a particular card, but sadly, things ended before that came to fruition.

Cool! I'm gonna keep the questions rolling if you don't mind. Was there anything about working for tcdigital you didn't like?

Oh man, these podcasts are bringing me back. That audio quality hasn't aged well, but I remember loving every moment of it when they were new. It's funny seeing Occasus so young in these too. If I'm remembering correctly he was still just a high-schooler back then.

I doubt there's a single one of us who could look back on those days without thinking the same thing. We were all so passionate about the game, how could we not look like total dorks?

Hey Blargers! its so amazing to see that you're still involved in the community. It's great to see that this backup site exists, i was feeling nostalgic and decided to do some digging to see the current status of the game and got lucky and found this backup site. Couldn't remember my old login, so i made a new account same alias though! Don't know if you remember me or not blargers but I'm a year one veteran player. I was actually selected as a beta tester and was about to gain access to the elusive beta tester forums before the game went down. I really miss all the great times and good friends i made on the forums back in the day, and i miss this game. What are you doing now? It's awesome that you're still in contact with wolficus and other past chaotic employees. Any idea if Kodo is ever going to do anything with the property? Anyway, it warmed my heart to see your post. This whole site is a nostalgia bomb, and i love it.

Hi Blargers and all you guys

I just discovered this Chaotic Backup forum and I have to say that it is so amazingly awesome that Chaotic is still alive out there after all this time I used to work on chaotic from 2007-2010 doing storytelling (Portal to Perim for instance) and later on game design and backstory and I have to say that I'm amazed and happy that you guys are still playing (still have my cardfolders within arms reach of my desk). Epic thumbs up!

@Blargers - Am I mistaken or were you in charge of "Barry the Banister" in the TCD office back in the day?

Oh wow, now isn't that an interesting little bit of information. Out of everything that I've tried to catalogue, Chaotic's lore has always been my prime interest. Marrillian, the other forum administrator, and myself had actually set goals to create a website that functioned as the Portal to Perim. Sadly this forum is the only reliable place around the web to come for information on your work right now since we've temporarily put said project aside.

However, If you're ever up for it the Portal could infinitely benefit from your input.
