Range and Swift Question Empty Range and Swift Question

    Post by Slim25 Thu Jul 12, 2018 3:19 am

Let's say that a creature with Range X and Swift X attacks target "Y" that they can reach, whose battlegear is "AZAIA Mindprobe" (and has higher wisdom than the attacking creature).

Will AZAIA Mindprobe prevent the creature from attacking, because it's ability is targeting Y, or is it just targeting the occupied space (rendering AZAIA Mindprobe useless against Range X and Swift X)?

    I hope this makes sense!

Azaia mindprobe will not prevent the creature from attacking. Range/Swift is not an activated ability is an Innate ability. Mindprobe protects against against "mugic or abilities played". Declaring Combat/movement is not an ability either. So there is nothing to protect against by mindprobe.
