Personally I use Tinypic.com but either one will do.

To post pictures without using the attachment feature the forum needs to be able to follow an address to a server which is hosting said image.

I didn't have to do that to get the mip tribe symbol in my signature... I don't remember what I did. And there's also a 'host an image' option: don't know what it does but you can test it out.

If you don't have a link to an image, and want to have a link (aka you have a picture on you're computer) then you can use the host an image to get a link.
