Reviving Chaotic Online

Hello all,

I used to play this game a lot and really loved it, and have missed it. Now that I am in university, I have started working on some projects and I want tk revive chaotic online. I came here to look for a team to help me out. I do game development, mostly coding, my art skills are a bit lacking.

I am looking for anyone who wants to help me in reviving chaotic.I will need people to create a database for all of the cards, any proficiebt web developers to build a website for our game, and artists to recreate the art that we cannot find.

Currently I am at school, so my development is limited, but the term ends in mid Decembwr and I will work and try to finish it by the end of april. PM me and we can talk if you are interested.

I still need to get the rights from 4Kids to use the chaotic brand and card arts etc. Hopefully as a student I can get these rights.

Rights aren't something you'll be able to get a hold of very easily. If you're interested in making a Chaotic game then you'll want to focus on that specifically.

If anything comes of your project then maybe I'll buy a domain and host for you.

Can you actually just make a Chaotic game and host it tho?

They can't legally screw with you for using their characters, locations, mugic, ideas etc.?

You might want to talk to @neku who is a member of this forumn who also had similar ideas to you!

They could easily screw me over fke using thwir characters and artwork and stuff for a revived cardgame. Nothing will likely come of it, but I wanted to make it into a card buying game like hearthstone, and make a bit kf money off it with players buying cards, or earning them through battles.

As for working with @neku, he and I have different ideas, he wants to make a 3D chaotic works, and I just want to brinf the card game online. Maybe if we both get them up and they are successful we can combine the two into one game. For the time being I think we will be working on the projects seperately

I think if your making a profit off the site then your going to get into alot of trouble. If you are doing it from a non profit aspect then you can use excuses such as being a major overly zealous fan lol. I would not recommend trying to make money off this.

You'll have to get permission to use several patents, and pay royalties in order to use them, and these might not even be available to use at the moment.

If you don't you'll be doing exactly what 4kids did xD. Its unfortunate really.

In terms of creating the card game itself, what game engine are you planning on using? Unity? GameMaker?
