Here's my guideline to deck building!
To play chaotic it's very similar to how you play in the show first things first.
Format!
To make a deck you first need to pick a format. There are currently 6 ways to play.
1 vs 1 , 3 vs 3 and 6 vs 6. either Advanced Apprentice or Masters
Advanced apprentice is played without Mugic and without activated abilities. It's usually for new players and quick matches.
Master's is the same except with Mugic and activated abilities.
Bodal here has what's called a Passive ability, Meaning it automatically happens.Support means that he gains (in Bodals case 5 wisdom) for every adjacent Overworld creature next to him. If you have any trouble with how an ability works or if it's active or passive let me know.
Vidav's ability has a cost and would need to be activated.
Most people here play 6 vs 6 Masters so that's probably the format you wanna play.
To play 6 vs 6 Masters you will need to know how to deck build.
Deck Building
To build a deck there's a few things you have to know.
The rule of 2 , "Loyal"," Unique","Legendary",and Build points.
The rule of 2 means that you can only have 2 of the same named card in one deck. By same name I just mean the Name not just same card. So for example
You can have 2 frafdo's in a deck that's totally fine. You just can't have 3 cards with the same name. SO YOU CAN'T HAVE 2 FRAFDO AND A FRFADO THE HERO.
because that'd be 3 with the same name. You could have 1 Frafdo and Frafdo the Hero if you want. or 2 Frafdo the hero's. it's up to you just NOT 3!
Loyal
If a creature is Loyal that means they can only be in army's with creatures of that tribe. Maxxor here is Loyal so he can only be in Overworld armys
Same with Kreal here but he can only be in Underworld armies.
Loyal M'arrillian's however can be in armys with M'arrillian's or Minions.
Bladez is a minion. You can tell by the black text on the bottom. That's called a brainwashed ability and is used instead of the normal ability when you have a Chieftain like Xis'torq there.
You many also notice something else about Maxxor he is also Unique.
Unique
Unique means that instead of the normal 2 you can have per deck. You can only have 1 of a card with that name. (Doesn't matter what it's sub name is, if they're both the same name and says Unique. You can only have 1)
Unique can be anything ,Battlegears,Locations,Mugics,Attacks or Creatures. examples above
next up is
Legendary
Legendary is only on 9 cards. It's 4 creatures and 5 Battlegear. Legendary was made for
semi- good reason.
The Generals. The generals thrive on having Mixed tribes and since if they were in the same deck they'd be to powerful they created Legendary. You can only have 1 Legendary card in a deck. Period. The other 5 legendary are Battle gear.
They're Legendary and Loyal. The reason why they're Legendary is because Crown of Aa'une could be in the same deck as any of the others if you had say 6 underworld or whatever tribe with all Minions. They didn't want that.
and Lastly but SUPER important
Build Points
Build points are the little numbers in the top left of attacks.
here's some examples of attacks it goes from 0 to 5.
You need to have 20 attacks in a deck and 20 build points. And this has to be EXACT
So say you wanted to use Mind Mash there because it looks like a strong attack
(It is) BUT it's a 5 cost card meaning to even this out you would need to add four 0 cost cards like for example Shadow Strike (Remember the rule of 2 however). So it would equal 5 cards with 5 build points. Do this until you get 20 attacks and all adding up to 20 build points.
Hope this helps!
